Guess What?

Knitty City is 6!

At Knitty City, we get a lot of sincere enjoyment from  telling you, our customers and friends, how grateful we are to know and serve the community, and we  cannot think of a better way to start the New Year,  and begin our 7th year in business,  than by telling you, again,  how much we appreciate you and your business.    We have built Knitty City together and you have been instrumental in  making  the dream come true.   As we celebrate our Sixth anniversary on January 7, we would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to you and your friends to come by the store and enjoy, with us, the fruits of our labor.  There will be a store- wide  sale (10% off on EVERYTHING), lots and lots of cake and lots of happy faces. Please join us this Saturday any time from 11-6 PM. Arvin likes to buy lots of cake, so, if you don't make it on Saturday, it's a sure bet that there will be some cake still there on Sunday.

New Yarns In Store

Some more Madeline Tosh has arrived.  Stop by and check out some  new colors, too.  Newest shipment includes Chunky and Merino Light.  (Be sure and ask about a few new colors.).  Also just in store is more of Mano's Maxima and Wool Classica.     Our YOM (Yarn of the Month) for January is Blue Sky Alpacas.  That means that all BSA yarns are 10% off for the month of January.

New Books in Store

Well-known Rowan Yarn designer Martin Storey adds a modern twist to classic aran patterns with spared-down contemporary designs that are sure to appeal to knitters of all ages and different levels of experience. The twenty-five patterns range from relatively simple to challenging--something for every knitter to enjoy!   While we're discussing books, be sure to check out the latest from Sarah Hatton and Erika Knight.  Also in store right now are New Magazines:

Don't forget to visit us at the excitimg and upcoming Vogue Knitting Live Show on January 14 and 15,   at Booths # 2301-2307 (We have 4 of them.).  In addition to selling a huge collection of our most popular yarns and needles, we'll be the Book Signing Hub of the Show.  For more information about this show, go to www.vogueknittinglive.com.  Our list is still being added to, but, so far, we have 24 people signed up, including  Debbie Stoller, Mary Jane Mucklestone, Nicky Epstein, Doris Chan, Norah Gaughan, Erika Knight, Lily Chin, Sally Melville, Tanis Grey, Shirley Paden and Cookie A. (Whew, I'm getting tired - and I haven't even gotten to the end of the list.) We'll have a finalized schedule at the store for your perusal.  Take a class, browse, shop or just look - whatever you do, be sure to stop by and say hello.
