You know the old saying, "build it and they will come"? Will build it the folks at Vogue Knitting did, and boy did people come - to New York!. It was an incredible show that was held last weekend at the NY Hilton in mid-town Manhattan and Knitty City was there! We managed to snap more than a few shots while hosting 24 of the best authors and designers in the business and seliing our tempting yarns and books. Come along and let us show you! PEARL AND THE BUSMAN'S HOLIDAY
We thought you might like to know a bit about what a yarn store owner does when she's away from the store, so this blog post will be devoted, in part, to Pearl's trip to TNNA (The National Needlework Association). Twice a year, this trade organization holds a trade show that is targeted to the retail store owners of shops that serve the yarn and needework industry. January is the month in which the Spring yarns are previewed and Pearl always attends the show - seeking and endlessly searching for new yarns and products that will intrigue and entice us all. The spring show is normally held in California - this year it's Long Beach and Pearl has sent us a report from the field and pictures - Well mostly, pictures, but you might see a few hanks of yarn in the background......click on top headline to read more
