Why we love snow...

We know it's messy. We know it's really hard to get around in it. We know it's not fun to jump over those dirty mounds in the street. All that said, it's also really beautiful - especially in the park.

As you might imagine, because we sell yarns, we also appreciate cold weather clothing and comfort foods. So, when Maury Rubin, owner of City Bakery, asked us to participate in their Hot Chocolate month, we were there!

Meet Lars Rains

He Loves Lopi & So Do We!

  Saturday, Feb. 6, 3-4 PM

We admit to a Love of Lopi, the wonderful Icelandic heritage breed wool that comes in a variety of weights. So much so, that we're devoting our front window to some of the bright and beautiful sweaters featured in "Modern Lopi." Author/Designer Lars Rains will be appearing at the store on Saturday, February 6, from 3-4 PM. He'll share his work and speak about this unique fiber. Please come meet him, and see how quickly you can do as he does - and make yourself a wonderful Winter sweater.

Last Weekend @ Vogue Knitting Live

In case you missed VOGUE KNITTING LIVE last weekend, we thought you might like to see some of the pictures that Nancy Ricci took at the show. Nothing says enjoyment quite as quicklly as a picture of an ardent fiber lover. Take a look at some of these pictures and you will see what we mean!

Don't forget to visit us online @ Ravelry, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Better yet, visit us in person. We look forward to seeing you!
